Aid from autonomous communities and town councils

Comunidad de Madrid: Su objetivo es mejorar la eficiencia energética de estos aparatos mediante el empleo de las últimas tecnologías y de los sistemas más avanzados en ahorro de energía. Subvenciona las actuaciones que permiten una reducción anual de, al menos, un 35% del consumo de energía (por la reconversión del motor eléctrico o por la modificación o sustitución del sistema de iluminación de la cabina por otros de mayor eficiencia energética).
The amount of the aid amounts to 35% of the investment, with a maximum limit of 600 euros for the reform of the lighting and 2,700 euros for the improvement of the tractor system and call optimization. Elevator Renewal Plan.
- Valencian Community: complementary personal assistance is provided to citizens with low incomes and those under 35 years of age or over 65.
- Castilla y León: for the installation of elevators, up to 35% of the eligible expenses are financed, up to a maximum of 7,500 euros.
- Extremadura: grants communities of owners aid of up to 25% of the budget. The maximum amount per rehabilitated home is 6,000 euros. Beneficiaries are people who meet the following requirements:
- Not being the holders of full ownership (or a real right) of use or enjoyment over any other dwelling subject to a public protection regime.
- Be registered in a public registry of claimants.
- Not exceeding the established maximum income, which in no case may exceed 7.5 times the Public Indicator of Income for Multiple Effects.
- Andalusia : the maximum amount is 25% of the protected budget, with a maximum amount per renovated home of 6,000 euros.
Some local councils also contribute to covering the costs incurred by a community of owners in installing or renovating an elevator.
- Barcelona : Barcelona City Council has set a maximum amount of 45,000 euros per lift. In the event that work is carried out simultaneously to create a practicable route, the maximum aid will be 45,000 euros per lift or 6,000 euros per dwelling. The City Council will provide additional aid to people with family incomes below twice the IPREM, who live in the building where the lift is to be installed and do not have any other dwelling in the city. It can cover up to 100% of the amount they are required to pay.
- Gijón : The maximum amount subsidised is 50% of the budget, up to a limit of 30,000 euros. It rises to 40,000 euros if the property is included in the urban planning catalogue.
- Bilbao : grants a subsidy of up to 8,600 euros for installing elevators. Up to an additional 9,000 euros can be received for building ramps or any other element that contributes to the elimination of architectural barriers in a building.
