Four companies from the Rosanes industrial estate deliver toys to Social Services for children from families with difficulties
They will be distributed during these holidays among the people assisted by the City Council according to the needs detected.
Four companies from the Rosanes Industrial Estate –Camacho Cosmetics, Metarom Ibérica, GMV Eurolift and Adeesa- have delivered toys to the municipal Social Services for children from families in Castellví who are experiencing difficulties. The toys come from the solidarity collection that the business association of the estate, in coordination with Social Services, has promoted this Christmas among companies in the area. The Castellví de Rosanes Town Council will distribute the toys during these holidays among families in the municipality who use Social Services and have children, according to the needs detected and in accordance with the ages of the children.
The toys were handed out on Friday at midday and were attended by representatives of the four companies that have participated in this charity collection and the Castellví de Rosanes Town Hall, with the mayor, Lluís Tomàs, and the Councillor for Social Welfare, Victoria Castellanos, at the helm. As explained by the Town Hall to the companies, the toys will be distributed among families in difficulty who use Social Services, according to the age of the children they have. In the event that there are more toys than the needs detected, and those that do not correspond to the age of any of the children who use Social Services, they will be channelled through third sector entities with whom the Town Hall regularly collaborates – such as the Red Cross, for example – to deliver them to children in difficulty in municipalities close to Castellví. This fact has been communicated to the companies that have participated in the charity collection, who have given their consent.
Tomàs, Castellanos and the social worker, Montse Peña, thanked the participating companies for their gesture of solidarity with the children of Castellví who are going through a difficult situation, hoping that collaborations of this nature can be repeated in the near future.
