Why is the hydraulic lift considered one of the safest in the sector?

As already mentioned in some of the posts we have published, the hydraulic lift is considered one of the safest in the vertical transport sector. This is due to the multiple safety devices it contains and the ease of rescuing users if they become trapped in the cabin.

When to use hand pump?

The hand pump is used in case of emergency , as it allows the elevator to be moved in these situations, allowing rescue if there is a person in the cabin and in maintenance operations where the movement of the cabin upwards is required.

How the hand pump works

The hand pump of a hydraulic lift is manually operated by a lever, which is operated by the personnel in charge of the maintenance of the installation . It is responsible for providing the energy necessary to move the hydraulic fluid that makes it possible to move the cabin upwards for rescues, tests and parachute releases.

It is important to note that the hand pump is not a permanent lifting mechanism, but a temporary solution used in case of emergency, as indicated by the new ITC for elevators . Under normal conditions, the elevator is driven by a motor that provides the energy necessary for its operation.
