Electronic technology applied to hydraulic elevators

Grupo de válvulas electrónico NGV / Consola de programación Currently electronic technology has allowed hydraulic elevators take a big step in the field of energy efficiency, thus reducing its consumption.

Benefits of electronic valve groups for elevators

Savings in installation/consumption:

New electronic valve sets (such as the NGV) have a more advanced internal hydraulic circuit than a conventional valve set. The circuit is much simpler and has less friction. Consequently, the engine needs less power to push the fluid to the piston, and the engine size is reduced as a result.

On the other hand, since the valve group (NGV) can work up to 45 bar, the piston can be of a smaller diameter than with a conventional valve group. Therefore the amount of fluid needed will also be reduced.

Greater comfort:

Electronic technology also allows speeds to be regulated and adjusted both uphill and downhill, thereby achieving increased comfort for the passenger. Furthermore, speed (uphill and downhill) can reach 1m/s without the need for an optional component.

Greater security for the user:

In the case of the NGV, for example, electronic technology has made it possible to improve safety thanks to the double safety system for closing the PRV that this group of valves has. That is, instead of a single shutter, there are two that control both the ascent and the descent.

Greater safety for the operator (easy adjustment):

The electronic valve group (NGV) is accompanied by a programming console, which is a great advance in terms of safety for the operator , especially in MRL installations (machinery located in the pit itself). In this way, in an MRL installation the operator does not need to enter the pit to make the relevant adjustments.

  1. Good night,

We have a hydraulic car lift in the Community and we are analyzing solutions to improve the energy efficiency of the car lift. Could you send me information regarding the valve group?

    Thank you
