The Supreme Court has ordered the central government to modify the calculation of marketing costs and the remuneration received by companies dedicated to the sale of energy in the regulated market (Endesa, Iberdrola, Gas Natural-Fenosa, EDP and Viesgo).
The application of this calculation would mean an increase of five euros per year in the fixed part of the bill for an average family . However, the Supreme Court ruling establishes that, in addition to covering costs, the remuneration of the marketing companies must include a profit margin, so the increase in the cost of the bill may be greater.
The revision of the tariff calculation also paves the way for such an increase to be applied retroactively from the spring of 2014, when the new tariff came into force, although this is a point that neither the Supreme Court nor the Government have clarified for now.
To counteract this new rise in electricity bills, GMV recommends refurbishing the elevator with the latest technological innovations.
