I am an elevator maintenance technician and it happened to me during a breakdown that after the parachute valve was activated it recovered itself. I only knew about the GMV one that once blocked you have to apply pressure to recover it. The one I am telling you about is from the MORIS brand. IS THIS POSSIBLE? CAN THEY RECOVER THEMSELVES OR IS IT DEFECTIVE?

Parachute valves are certified safety components, and as you know, they prevent the cabin from falling in the event of a break in the line. According to EN 81.2, the parachute valve must stop the cabin completely to avoid risks.
In the event of a break in the line and therefore a loss of oil, the valve will be completely blocked and it will only be possible to restart the system, as you say, by installing a new line and unlocking it by actuating the hydraulic equipment under pressure.
In the case you mention, it is possibly a case of a defective parachute valve and it should be replaced as soon as possible, since if the line breaks, it could create a risky situation for people in the cabin.

I had a problem with an elevator, the motor burned out, and they don't give me any guarantees that it will be fine because it is the third time it has burned out, and the squirrel cage (rotor) is marked or damaged or nicked and it doesn't work properly because before it burned out it overheated a lot.

The motors of the GMV control panels are provided with a thermistor which changes its resistance value when the temperature of the motor increases. This thermistor is connected to a motor protector. The control panel also has an oil temperature contact which opens at 70ºC. Having said all this, in the event that a motor has a problem such as being stuck in two phases (in the case of a crossover the thermal-magnetic switch would trip), the thermistor increases its resistance and makes the manoeuvre stop the motor instantly. On the other hand, the temperature contact in this case would not stop the panel. Perhaps the thermistor protection is not connected or is not working correctly?

First of all, we would like to thank you for taking us into account when solving your query. At GMV Eurolift we recommend our clients use HV-46 oil, due to its high viscosity index. HM-46 would also be valid, but if you want to obtain optimal operation of your equipment, it is better to use HV-46.
