What is a structure
Some lifts and elevators require a structure to be able to mount their installation, either outside or inside any building or home, simplifying the installation and structural stability. Also, its main purpose is to obtain a space to install said lift or elevator.
Types of elevator structures
External structures in elevators
In the case of an outdoor installation, a second objective of the structure is to protect the installation from external agents such as rain, friction, humidity, wind, sunlight, etc. To guarantee the quality of the finish of these metal structures, especially those outdoors, corrosion and protection treatments are carried out.
Internal structures in elevators
Internal structures are also very common, especially in renovated or even new buildings.

Regulations and Safety of structures
The calculation of a structure is carried out according to the type of installation (electrical or hydraulic) and its technical characteristics (dimensions of the opening , relative position of the walls, number of loadings, payload, etc.).
During the calculation, atmospheric agents (wind, seismic risk, extreme temperatures, etc.) are also studied. In other words, each structure, apart from complying with the Technical Building Code (CTE), takes into account the seismic degree of the geographical area as well as the wind tendency, which are determined by the Ministry of Industry.
